Expedited Passport Fees

There are some expedited passport fees that will have to be paid for so that a person will be able to get the expedited passport quickly. The expedited passport fees will vary according to various different parts of the passport application. This includes costs based on the person’s age and also additional costs that are going to be placed by the government. Services by an individual group will cost more money too.

The age of the person will make an impact on the expedited passport fees. The standard fees will be charged at first but an additional cost for the expedited service will be charged. A person who is sixteen years old or older will have to pay $67 for the passport application and an additional thirty dollars for an execution fee. A person under sixteen will pay $52 with the thirty dollar execution fee.

The additional cost of the expedited service will be the same for anyone who is going to be applying for expedited service. It costs an additional sixty dollars to use expedited service for a passport application.

No matter who a person is going to be using the expedited passport application with the total fees - $157 for those sixteen and older and $142 for everyone else – will be intact. However, there are some private agencies that are registered with the United States State Department that can help to take care of the paperwork that is going to be needed for applying for a passport.

The fees that a private agency will charge for expedited passport services will be different based on the group. It generally costs about a hundred dollars to use the service from a typical private group. Some groups will offer overnight service or service in one to three days for a few hundred dollars. This is generally something that should only be spend on for emergency needs because it can cost nearly $400 per person for an emergency passport.

The time for delivery of the expedited passport will also make an impact on the expedited passport fees. A passport that takes about ten to fifteen business days to take care of will cost significantly less money than it would for expedited passport service that takes less than two weeks.

Overall, it is important to consider the expedited passport fees when looking to apply for a passport to be received in a short amount of time. Expedited passport fees will always require the same costs that the State Department has set. The cost will depend on the age of the person who is applying, how much time it will take for the passport to be received and the individual group that the person works with.
