However, if you do not get the service within the two to three weeks that you would generally be able to get expedited service in you will be eligible for a passport expediter refund. This is because expedited passports get greater priority than regular ones do but there may be cases when service cannot be met for any particular reason.

If you had paid for the expedited service you will have to give a good reason to the State Department as to how you feel that you did not get the expedited service that you asked for. Remember that the only thing you can get the refund on is the sixty dollar fee for expedited service. You will not be reimbursed for any missed travel or any execution fees from the passport application.

While a private passport expediter can help you to get the passport quickly you should be aware that in most cases you will not be able to get the refund for the additional money that you are going to be spending for the private group’s services. Refunds can be given in some events, including delays from incomplete applications, delays caused by an overnight shipping group or delays from the State Department for any particular reason. You should check with your private group for information on refunds and terms of when a refund is available.

While passport expediter service is convenient you may not always get the service in the time that you asked for it. Therefore, you can get a passport expediter refund in the event that you do not get your passport in the time that you asked for it in. Be sure to contact the State Department and your private group so that you will be able to get information on refunds that you will be able to get.
